Shearwater is a great family holiday destination, located within the dingo proof fence at Happy Valley, half way up the eastern beach of K’gari (Fraser Island). Walking distance to the beach, local store, bar and bistro, this well appointed home will comfortably accommodate and entertain 2 families.
Shearwater is a large, 5 bedroom family holiday home, with the facilities and equipment to support our extended family, and all our friends, new and old, who get to visit the house.
With three queen bedrooms and two bunk bedrooms, the house easily expands to support two families. Along with plenty of beds, our open plan lounge / kitchen / dining room, is the envy of other homes on the island. The two dining room tables, and lots of lounge seating, ensure your family can relax at the end of the day in comfort.
MASTER BEDROOM RETREAT
Bedroom One, the master bedroom, is located on the second floor. It has an ensuite and separate sitting room complete with a lounge suite, table and chairs and fridge.
BEDROOM TWO
Bedroom Two, the main downstairs bedroom, has a queen bed, lots of cupboards, and plenty of room to accommodate a cot or additional mattress for a child. A portacot, high chair, baby bath and change mat are all kept in the cupboard in this room.
BEDROOM THREE, PLUS 2 BUNK ROOMS
Bedroom Three also has a queen bed. There are also two smaller bedrooms, each with a set of double bunks. There is a spare mattress under each of the sets of bunks.
HUGE OPEN PLAN LIVING AREA
Established to cater for our large extended family, the open plan living / dining / kitchen area has the generous proportions to suit any size of family, allowing everyone to spread out at the end of the day to relax. With a book shelf full of holiday reading, and shelves of board games, puzzles and cards, there is down time entertainment to suit all tastes.
